Philosophy of WUHSMS Athletics:

The philosophy for the athletic program at Woodstock Union High School & Middle School can be stated simply -– opportunity and exercise for all.   This obligation challenges students in mind, body, and spirit to see beyond self and to go beyond what is familiar.  The athletic program shares with the other elements of a WUHSMS education to contribute to the development of the whole child.

The athletic program at WUHSMS provides a unique educational setting, offering  a stellar interscholastic program.  These offerings do not exist apart from the total experience but as an essential part of a holistic approach encompassing the intellectual, emotional, physical, abd social elements of each student.

WUHSMS Fan Code of Conduct

Woodstock Union High School & Middle School strives to encourage good sportsmanship throughout our athletic program, and this includes good fan behavior. We expect all spectators at our contests to be respectful of players, coaches, officials, and other spectators. Fans are encouraged to applaud the efforts of their team and should not engage in any behavior that is critical, distracting, or derogatory toward opponents or officials. We believe it is imperative to let the players, coaches, and officials play the game. Fans can be an "extra person" for their squad, supporting and cheering on their side, but our school will not permit any behavior that detracts from the proper conduct of the game or disadvantages a player or team.

Our Mission

We are a diverse community committed to the discovery of promise in each of us, and dedicated to the full development of intellect, curiosity, energy, and conscience.
