2017-18 Middle School Curriculum Guide

Dear 7th and 8th Grade Students:

Attached below is the 2017-18 WUMS Curriculum Guide.

It is time to begin planning for next year. The course descriptions contained within this booklet will assist you in selecting the appropriate elective courses to meet your needs and interests at Woodstock Union Middle School. Please read carefully all sections relevant to your grade level, including all general pages through page 5, as well as any required and elective courses that are appropriate for your grade level.

Middle school requirements include a quarter of health, a quarter of fine arts and, currently for 7th grade only, a quarter of a Computer Skills class. Each student must select a minimum of four quarters worth of elective courses when combining quarter, semester and longer courses.

The faculty and staff at Woodstock Union Middle School are dedicated to helping all students discover and develop their individual potential. We all recognize also the important collaborative role between students, parents and teachers. Please help us work together to design and implement the most effective program for you so that you may experience to the fullest degree possible our focus on community, respect, responsibility and success.

Sincerely yours,

Dana Peterson

Principal
