If you were alone for one month and could only bring one book, one movie, and one piece of music, what would you bring?
One book for a whole month?! You have to be kidding. I'd bring my Kindle--loaded with recent fiction. It would take up the space of one book, but it would be way more entertaining.

If you could invite any three people, from any place or time, to dinner, whom would you invite?
I'd invite my dad, Thomas Jefferson, and Julia Childs. Julia and I would hang out in the kitchen and prepare a feast--and my dad and T.J. would talk about Virginia, gardening, politics, literature and history. Of course, Julia and I would have our own perspectives to add on those topics, and everyone would leave feeling well-fed and satisfied.

What's the best thing you do that almost no one knows about?
I have no idea--I am not a big secret keeper!

What makes WUHSMS a special place?
The students! Some days I can hardly believe what wonderful people I get to be around every day. I love being a part of their lives--even if it is only for a year.
