Telepathy is an unusual occurrence that sometimes happens between children that are multiples. It is a connection between siblings that is very interesting, and relatively unexplainable. It can range from feeling each others pain and emotions to predicting the future of the other.
The Krawczyks girls (Hannah, Caroline, and Alexa, all seniors) are a set of triplets who have experienced some signs of reading each others minds and feeling each others pain. “We finish each others sentences all the time,” says Hannah. “And we get the exact same test grades in all of are classes.” This is not the only thing that they have experienced. They have also felt each other’s pain. “One time Hannah was trying to get a splinter out of her finger, but I felt the prick,”explains Caroline. Another time. Hannah hit her knee on a table, and a couple of minutes later, Alexa’s knee started to hurt, like she had hit it against something. “It hurt in the same exact spot Hannah had hit her knee only a few minutes before,” says Alexa.
The Krawczyk triplets aren't the only ones who have experienced this, the Koch triplets (Molly, Jenny, and Annie, also seniors) have also had occurrences like this. “When I was seven, I got into a skiing accident, and I had to ride in the ambulance to the hospital. I had run into a tree and cracked my helmet in half,” Annie describes, “While I was in the hospital, Jenny was at home, with a pounding headache. She had this headache for a few days, and it stopped when I felt better.” Annie had gotten a concussion, and they later found out that Jenny felt the same pain that Annie was feeling while she was in the hospital.
Teacher Keri Bristow and her sister Sherilyn have also had some telepathic events.“ I have had numerous times when I was thinking of my sister and the phone rang and it was her. Also, when we were in high school, we both took a test in a French class, at separate times, an essay test. Our teacher accused us of cheating because we had written almost exactly the same answers to the questions, even the same grammar mistakes.” explains Ms. Bristow. “Even though we haven't lived near each other for 30 years, we think alike, have the same haircut, wear similar style in clothes and shoes, like the same television shows and enjoy the same kind of food. We have had similar illnesses and surgeries. One time when I was here in Vermont and she was living in Massachusetts, we both received legal notices from the courts in each state telling us that we were on jury duty for the exact same starting date, for the same amount of time.”
Does twin/triplet telepathy really exist? Ask the multiples, they seem to know!
