Students will be greeted with something free and fun next year at school and it’s entirely for their own enjoyment and not for any educational purposes.

Along with net books, every student in the high school next year will be issued an iPod to use in their spare time by the school administration. The iPods will be the students’ property and they can do anything they want with them.

The iPods will be distributed to students at the start of the school year during advisory time, to make sure that each student gets one. The free iPod give away was championed by Principal Shill Dog. “Students need the ability to relax in school and what could be more relaxing than listening to a free IPod in your spare time?”

Students will be allowed to use the iPods when: they don’t have a class, have a study hall, are taking a test, or having lunch. “I can’t wait to listen to my 100% free iPod next year,” said freshmen Freebie Megee.

The possibility of the iPods being abused by students was not overlooked by the administration. “Any student who abuses the privilege of using the free iPods during the school day will be automatically expelled,” said Vice Principal Gona Get-You.

The school administration has projected that 98% of the student body at WUHS is going to abuse using the iPods, and under the planned policy will be expelled from school. “If students can’t follow the rules about using the free iPods then they deserve to be expelled,” said Vice Principle Gona Get-You.

The free iPods will cost the school about $200 each, and will be distributed on the first day of the 2012-2013 school year. The administration also projects that half the student body will violate the policy on the same day as the giveaway so these iPods will be confiscated and sold to help support the program for those who know how to follow the rules.
