Bromley 2/1 GS
Woodstock High Schools snowboard team followed it's strong performance at its 1/28 GS by heading down the road to Bromley for Burr and Burton's GS on 2/1. It took a while for the results to come out, but the wait was worth it. The Wasp Girls dominated the field with a 1st place team finish 10 points, ahead of Black River and Burr and Burton, tied at 23 points. The Wasps were led by Olivia Clement with a 1st place 1:25.09 finish, followed by a 2nd place 1:34.99 by Black River's Ginger Brown, and a 3rd place finish by the Wasp's Carli Weinberg at 1:35.51. Wasp Seniors finished strong with Indi Bjornsson at 6th and Jackie Davenport at 9th.
The Woodstock boys also did well with a 3d place 1:27.88 finish by Austin Cawley-Edwards behind Randolph's Logan Farmer at 1:17.73 and Black River's Kai Lichtenstein at 1:21.88. The Woodstock boys development team, which finished 5th in the team competition, also had finishes by Bradley Hinson in 29th, Austin Waterman in 31st and Callum Ritchie in 34th.
This competition closed out the regular season GS circuit, with the next GS at the State Championships in Stowe on March 8th.
Stowe Half Pipe - February 6th
The Woodstock boys competed in the South Burlington HS-sponsored Half Pipe competition at Stowe on February 6th. The Woodstock boys were led by Co-Captain Alex Sheppard with a 9th Place Finished, followed by Steven Baumann in 17th, Co-Captain Sean Ritchie in 18th and Justin Peyton in 20th. The boys finished in third place behind South Burlington in 1st and Burr and Burton in 2nd.
The Wasp boy's next competition is South Burlington's Stowe Slopestyle competition on February 14th.
