The Foreign Language Department offers three languages to our students: French, Spanish, and Latin. We are a department dedicated to teaching the four skills of language: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. We are also dedicated to teaching about the cultures that are represented by our languages in order to broaden our students’ horizons and their understanding of the world in which we live.

The Nicaragua-Vermont Video Exchange is a collaboration between the Vermont FolkLife Center and Spanish language students at WUHS. Spanish student created video diaries to share what life is like for the typical teenager grolwing up in central Vermont.
In this video diary, we get the "skinny" on Connor F., on the soccer field, in the classroom and driving that cool yellow electric car around the school campus. Visit the website at http://nicaragua-vermontfilmexchange.blogspot.com/. Thanks to Mrs. Chaput and the Vermont FolkLife Center.
