Passwords

Why Passwords?

The World Book Encyclopedia, the Gale Database (for magazine articles), and the Wilson database (for biographical information) are privately published sources. These companies need income so they charge people for using them. The companies want to ensure that only their paying customers are allowed access so they password protect their databases.

 

To get a password (four possibilities):

• Every computer in the library has the passwords posted on it.
• Go to Edline (http://www.edline.net). Log in. Go the the Library page.
• Call the Library: 802/457-1317 x122 or x153.
• Email a librarian: either lborsh or pbick @wuhsms.org.
