Casella’s Power of Hard Work Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors pursuing further education in Heavy Equipment Operations or Diesel Mechanics.

Eligibility and Details:

• Must be on track to graduate high school and meet all graduation requirements

• Must plan to continue education in Heavy Equipment Operations and/or Diesel Mechanics

• Scholarship funds will be paid directly to your educational institution

• Application deadline: March 15

• Recipients announced in April and recognized at graduation ceremonies or award nights

Knights of Columbus Vermont State Council Scholarship

Award: Five $1,000 scholarships | Deadline: March 15, 2026
For: High school seniors graduating June 2026 who are sons/daughters of Knights of Columbus members in good standing (or deceased members who were in good standing).

To qualify you must be a high school senior qualifying to graduate in June 2026 AND a son or daughter of a Knight of Columbus member (paternal or legally adopted) in good standing in a subordinate Council within the Vermont jurisdiction. Sons or daughters of deceased members are also eligible if their father was in good standing at the time of his death. An applicant may be a member of the Knights of Columbus or a member of a Columbian Squires Circle, in the jurisdiction of Vermont and a high school senior qualifying to graduate in June 2026.

Five $1,000.00 scholarships will be given by the Vermont Knights of Columbus to assist recipients with their education at an accredited Tech School or College of their choice.

Dr. Alice Angney Scholarship for Leadership and Service

Award: $3,000 | Deadline: Noon, March 23, 2026
For: Vermont high school students demonstrating initiative in overcoming challenges, leadership, service to community, and academic achievement. Applications available in Main Office or online.

The Dr. Alice Angney Scholarship for Leadership and Service is a $3,000 award presented to a graduating Vermont high school student who demonstrates:

• Initiative in overcoming a specific challenge

• Leadership and service to community

• Academic achievement

• Commitment to furthering their education after high school

Applications and accompanying materials can be submitted via email, mail, or completed online. The deadline for all materials is noon on Monday, March 23, 2026. Paper copies are available in the Main Office at WUHSMS.

Eligibility requirements

Note: One of the eligibility requirements is the student must reside in the TRORC region, which includes these towns:
Barnard, Bethel, Bradford, Braintree, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Chelsea, Corinth, Fairlee, Granville, Hancock, Hartford Hartland, Newbury, Norwich, Pittsfield, Plymouth, Pomfret, Randolph, Rochester, Royalton, Sharon, Stockbridge, Strafford Thetford, Topsham, Tunbridge, Vershire, West Fairlee, Woodstock

This scholarship is open to high school seniors residing in one of TRORC’s 30 towns that are successfully completing a state approved secondary (high school) education program and have been accepted into an accredited post secondary education or career program may apply. Applicants from diverse backgrounds including identities, abilities, economic and racial backgrounds are highly encouraged to apply. 

All fields of study are appropriate and can include, but are not limited to, agriculture, the arts and creative economy, education, energy, engineering, environmental studies, forestry, geography, mathematics, nursing, planning, political science, psychology, sociology, and trades. 

Immediate family members of TRORC employees, subcontractors, and the governing board are ineligible.

• Letter of acceptance from accredited 2-4 year post-secondary education or career program

Killington: Pat Zack Community Service Award

Award: $1,000 | Deadline: April 15, 2026
For: A Killington/ Pittsfield resident high school senior, who demonstrates impressive service and volunteer work during his or her time in high school.

Vermont Golf Association Scholarship Fund

Award: Multiple awards | Deadline: April 15, 2026
For: Vermont graduating seniors with active golf affiliation (competing on team, working at golf course, or participating in golf programs/events) enrolled full-time at college, university, or technical school. Apply online or see Main Office for paper application.

The Vermont Golf Association Scholarship Fund assists Vermont graduating seniors in obtaining a college education or technical training of university grade.

Requirements:

• Vermont resident graduating from high school

• Enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student at a college, university, or technical school of university grade

• Current and active affiliation with golf (competing on a golf team, working at a golf course, or participating in golf programs/events)

Woodstock Area Local Scholarships (Unified Application)

Filling out the Local Scholarship Form will make you eligible for various scholarships given by local organizations and businesses. Some of them are specific to town, intended major or interests, and GPA.

All college bound seniors are encouraged to fill this out and return the completed form to the Counseling Office by April 17th.

This scholarship is for high school students who live within our catchment area or who will be graduating from Woodstock Union High School in Woodstock, VT. For more than 25 years, the Ottauquechee Health Foundation has improved the health and wellbeing of those who live in the towns we serve. They do this through financial assistance, community partnerships, education opportunities, and support of wellness initiatives.

The Ottauquechee Health Foundation assists in the healthcare needs of these core towns: Barnard, Bridgewater, Hartland, Killington, Plymouth, Pomfret, Quechee, Reading, and Woodstock, VT. To help support their mission of creating the healthiest communities possible, OHF has founded the OHF Health and Wellness Scholarship Award. Vermont Principals’ Association Member Scholarship

For: High school seniors who are children of Vermont Principals' Association members.

Each school year, the Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA) will award $500 scholarships to high school seniors who are the children of VPA members. If you are interested in being considered, please send this form and supporting materials, postmarked no later than May 4, 2026. The scholarships will be announced in June, and will be awarded pending enrollment in their first year of college.

Sammy Pierce Memorial Scholarship

Award: Two $1,000 scholarships ($500 per semester) | Deadline: 5:00 PM, May 5, 2026
For: Full-time residents of 19 southern Vermont towns (including Chester, Ludlow, Springfield, Weathersfield, Windsor area towns) continuing in 2-year or 4-year programs. Public, private, home-schooled, trade school, college students, adult learners, and previous recipients eligible.

Eligibility: Full-time residents of the following southern Vermont towns: Andover, Baltimore, Cavendish, Chester, Clarendon, Grafton, Ludlow, Mount Holly, Plymouth, Reading, Rockingham, Shrewsbury, Springfield, Townshend, Wallingford, Weathersfield, Weston, West Windsor, and Windham.
