Middle School end-of-the-year carnival
The middle school celebrated the last full day of the school year with fun and community spirit at our Spring Carnival. Students played capture the flag, painted rocks, ran relays, tossed water balloons, and had a blast in our student-built “dunk tank.” In the afternoon, faculty members took on students in dodgeball (congrats to the 8th grade on their win).
Our afternoon assembly featured several fantastic musical acts by students as well as a wonderful dance performance, games, prizes, and the dedication of the middle school yearbook to Mr. Kent for helping kids enjoy math.
Thanks to IDEA students and Sumanth for the dunk tank and Jenga, to the school spirit crew and Vali for planning a great assembly, and to student leaders Addison Tapley, Tilly Richardson, Pippa Shaw, Nick Cellini, and Alexis Audsley for their work planning and organizing the Carnival–it was the perfect ending to the year!
8th Graders celebrate the end of middle school
8th graders celebrated the end of middle school with a fun and exhausting overnight trip to Bethany Birches Camp this week. With sunny skies and temperatures in the high 80s, students spent lots of time swimming in the pond, socializing in the pavilion, and competing in—and losing at—many games against their incredibly athletic teachers.
